Dispute a Review

Last updated: May 2026

Who Can File a Dispute?

Any designer with a claimed profile may dispute reviews on that profile. If your profile is unclaimed, you must claim it first before filing a dispute. Claiming your profile is free.

Valid Grounds for Dispute

  • Reviewer was not an actual client (no project existed)
  • Review contains demonstrably false statements of fact
  • Review contains personally identifying information about third parties
  • Review contains hate speech, threats, or harassment
  • Review violates a confidentiality or NDA I can document

What is NOT Grounds for Removal

  • Negative opinion or subjective dissatisfaction
  • Disagreement with the rating or overall score
  • The review is unflattering but accurate

RateMyDesigner is committed to preserving authentic client feedback. Negative reviews based on genuine experiences are protected speech and will not be removed solely because they are critical.
